Planning despite uncertainty: a meeting of the business community Board was held at the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra

Petro Mohyla and Ivan Mazepa supported education, restored and rebuilt temples. Their deeds have survived centuries. What modern entrepreneurs can learn from this experience was discussed at the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve with the Board community. The meeting brought together 50 business owners and company leaders. They discussed planning in times of uncertainty and the ability to see the future beyond daily tasks. Using the example of Mohyla and Mazepa, the participants analyzed how a personal vision turns into a work that continues after its founder. For many, this was their first visit to the Lavra. First, the guests took a sightseeing tour and visited the “Rectangle of the Assumption Cathedral” exhibition. Then, they joined an open conversation. Its speakers were the Director General of the National Reserve Maksym Ostapenko, priest, theologian and philosopher Heorhiy Kovalenko and Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Olga Kovalevska, moderated by the founder of the strategic marketing agency “Obrani”, Dmytro Romanchenko. Special attention was paid to the concept of the “Lavry Cross”, which unites faith, will, thinking and art. They also talked about the challenges of modern war: how, despite daily threats, to find strength for business development, support culture and education. The experience of Mohyla and Mazepa became an occasion to think about the responsibility for what will be left to the next generation.
